We are not an ancient pub but what we lack in years we make up for in Irish friendliness and charm. We welcome customers, mostly French, but from all around the world and our staff speak both English and French to make everyone feel welcome. When we are not too busy we are happy to chat and answer questions about the beautiful city of Carcassonne or give you some tips about where to go and what to do around the city. We also are not far from the tourist office.
We are a lively and popular pub in the center of the Bastide which is where you will find all the shops and lots of restaurants within a grid of little streets surrounded by large boulevards with the River Aude and La Cité to the south and the Canal du Midi to the East.

The Celt is popular with locals and visitors alike. We have a thriving English speaking community in Carcassonne and any time you pop in for a drink or even just a coffee you will find a warm welcome from the staff and if you feel like a chat there will probably be someone about willing to share local info with you. We are right in the heart of everything and surrounded by concerts and events during the summer and a cosy place to come for a drink in the winter.
